California Day 2

Breakfast - Breakfast went well in the hotel followed by the traditional senior meal in the park. Mickey Pancakes for all the seniors at Mr. Marks' favorite spot in Disneyland! This was followed by a little bit of ride time to calm the nerves and then it was off to "Small World" to meet our Disney Guide to prepare us for the performance.

Performance - Can't Say enough about how proud I am of the job they did. They were all tired and played in 80 degree weather for the first time in what seems like forever. To quote Mr. Peters, "I can't remember them ever sounding that good!" They were amazing and we have the whole 25 minute performance on tape. We will try and share clips through MPTV as soon as possible.

Disneyland - The band members enjoyed rides and attraction for the afternoon before it was off to Dinner

Dinner - A great way to celebrate a wonderful performance is a group meal. Thunder Ranch BBQ, which is located next to the stage we performed at, was the perfect locatoin as always. Great food, Great Entertainment, and fun for all. Our own Kevin Peterson was even up on stage as part of the act. Something we will all remember for years to come! (we have video of that too...)

Fantasmic - After a short break it was time to meet for Fantasmic. The 90+ minute wait sitting on the ground at the Rivers of America did not disappoint and the students were excited to see a new angle for the fireworks followed by the amazing show "Fantasmic" We had front row seats to the one of a kind experience. Just ask any band member about the Pirate Ship!

Shout out to Megan Gilbert and Sophie Boland who were both members of the MPHS band who currently live in the West Coast and made the trip to the park to watch our performance... Thanks to all of other supporters in the audience as well!

All were alseep quickly and I can report that they still are...

Ahead on Day 3 - Recording Session on the Disney Sound Stage and our first trip to Disney's California Adventure!
